厄爾‧南丁格爾 (1921-1989) 是美國著名的勵志演說家及作家，也是知名的廣播節目主持人，著有《最奇妙的秘密》。他曾經說過:「不要太擔憂如何達成目標，讓一個更大的力量來幫助你；你只需要知道你要往哪個方向走，而答案會在適當的時候來到你的身邊。」「我們面對生命的態度，決定生命面對我們的態度。」(Our attitude toward life determines life’s attitude towards us.) 也很喜歡這一句:「我們心裡想什麼，就成為什麼樣的人。」(We become what we think about.)
